I haven’t been keeping up with this—I got busy. Monday night we tried for Shakespeare in the park, but didn’t get tickets (I’m trying again today). Instead I went to DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge area with a friend to explore a little bit. It wasn’t the nicest of days (it wasn’t warm enough to lay in the grass and enjoy the sun), but we did have a lot of fun.
We sampled ice cream at Jacques Torres, and sat by the water, found an old used bookstore with an Afro-American studies section with really good cheap finds (I bought clotel, our nig, and when and where I enter), then we waited in the obscenely long Grimaldi’s line for pizza. After about an hour, we got some really good food. I’m not saying that I’ll wait in that line again, but I can say I went.
