meevohh: elleafricain: aw.. this looks amazing one of the coolest pictures I’ve seen in a minute
auntada: Legendary dancers Carmen de Lavallade and Geoffrey Holder met during a Broadway production of Truman Capote’s “House of Flowers”. He proposed to her on sight. The couple married a year later in 1956, and have been together ever since. Photo: Jet Magazine, August 9, 1956 That’s too beautiful. I got to meet her last year, and she has such a beautiful soul!
This is another unfortunate display of stupidity in my hometown (which I don’t necessarily claim as “home” but it’s where I went to high school and where my parents still live). This rhetoric of the TSA saying they didn’t “require” or “force” the elderly woman to remove her diaper is bullshit! How was she not being forced when her ONLY other option was to not get on the plane, and not go where she wanted to be when she died. “We’re not forcing you to remove your diaper, ma’am, but if you don’t, then you can’t get on the plane…” HOW IS THAT NOT FORCING SOMEONE TO DO SOMETHING??? I don’t even know why they are claiming that she had another option, since that would have resulted in her not getting to her destination. Waste of fucking breath. Nice Northwest Florida, Nice! You wear your stupidity well! TSA denies having required a 95-year-old woman to remove diaper
theafricanamericandream: Some things in life just are not fair. SMH i.can’t! I’m sure they’d say it had to do with the proposed life threat of the man’s hand under his jacket as a gun, but at the end of the day, all it does is highlight the bullshit of our judicial system
