This Week…

I have been so restless. I left work to go home early literally every day this week. I mean I did work at home on most of those days but I spend so much time in front of the computer doing literally nothing that I just see no point in being in the office. I may as well go home. I could literally work entirely from home since the office has no use except to print, fax, and copy  (and the printing barely works).

Yesterday I had to go to work in the morning for a “how to flatten your abs” seminar. I mean it wasn’t terrible or anything, just long. I didn’t get home until 4 pm and the seminar was supposed to be from 11:30 to 1:30 and I left my house to get there at 9:30 AM. Interestingly, on the way home, there was a man in the subway playing the drums, but his hands were malformed and he couldn’t actually hold the drum sticks except with his thumbs, but he was tearing them drums up! He was really good.

So I get back and me and my housemates were rushing to cook all this food and decorate for our halloween party. We went hard in the paint—literally—with some corn syrup and red food coloring and painted our walls like blood. We also strung up cobwebs everywhere. Then I continued with the paint as I painted my face like erykah badu’s latest album, New Amerykah Part 2, for halloween. I was coated in make up just to have people show up NOT in costume.

All in all it was kind of a whack party. I was ready to have a deep house party with some good music, dancing, eating, drinking—but it was kind of a flop, without consistent music and everyone (all like 5 people) sitting around a computer.

Oh well…*sigh*…I really could’ve not cooked all that food, or spent any money at all, or painted all that crap on my face, but, we were hoping for a good time. It wasn’t a bad time, it was more of a chill session than anything else, I just wanted to flip my hair back and forth is all.

But the food was really good, and the butterbeer I made was AMAZING (so too bad for all of you that missed it—I’ll finish that myself). And I was in good company. We went on the roof even though it was cold, and we just had a relaxed time.

So today, I’m just going to relax and go to the parade later on.
